Nutritional Medicine

Nutritional Therapy uses individually designed dietary and supplement programmes to help prevent and overcome a wide range of health issues.

Problems, that respond favourably to Nutritional Therapy are:- Allergies, arthritis, asthma & hayfever, blood pressure, candida, children's advice, depression, diabetes, digestive & bowel, infertility, M.E. & fatigue, migraine, PMT & menopause, skin problems e.g. eczema, psoriasis, special diets, sports nutrition and weight control.

During a consultation a full medical and dietary history is taken to enable a comprehensive picture of the patient and their problem to be obtained.  Various diagnostic procedures may also be employed to provide further information.  An individual dietary programme is then designed and discussed with the patient along with advice or any natural supplements that would be appropriate.

Iridology

Iridology is a diagnostic technique, it is the study of the iris of the eye.  During a consultation a simple torch magnifier will be used to study the iris.  This enables an accurate picture of the body to be obtained providing valuable information about the root cause and nature of a patient's problem.

Iridology can reveal imbalances and weaknesses within the glands, organs and general body structures.  It can pin point areas of toxic accumulations that may be contributing to the particular problem and also find areas of genetic weakness.  Iridology can pin point problem areas before they develop into more serious health issues, in this way being used as a preventative measure.  It can also monitor how well a therapy is working, the iris changing as the body moves towards better health.

Basically iridology takes the guess work out of naturopathic diagnosis providing a fast and accurate picture of a persons health.  The iridology diagnosis will be discussed with the patient and an appropriate treatment programme designed.

Allergy & Diagnostic Testing

A range of allergy (diagnostic) testing is also available in conjunction with Genova Diagnostics Laboratory.  This testing brings science and holistic medicine together to provide an optimum healing programme for the patient.  Tests include digestive for parasites, candida, enzyme deficiency and leaky gut, allergy / intolerance testing, adrenal, thyroid and male and female hormone profiles, hair analysis for heavy metal overload and many more.

Please refer to the Diagnostic Testing leaflet or folder in reception for further details.
