The Alexander Technique is an educational process in which the student learns how to recognize and identify poor physical habits of movement; you will learn how to practice to be aware of your tensions and reactions. This gradual "unlearning" of harmful lifetime postural habits leads to improved coordination, balance, body awareness and ease. It provides a simple, intelligent way to relieve the pain and stress caused by everyday misuse of your body.

During one to one Alexander Technique lessons you will
- Get one-to-one instruction to address individual needs.
- Receive gentle, hands-on guidance and verbal instruction.
- Learn to bring ease and coordination to simple, everyday movements and positions, such as sitting, walking, bending and lying down.
- Unravel stress while you lie on a bodywork table.
- Learn to prevent harmful habits of tension and movement.
- Learn to apply the Alexander Technique to activities of your choice, such as working at the computer, playing a musical instrument, gardening, and public speaking or exercising.

Alexander Technique Helping Performers
The Alexander Technique helps performers to improve stamina, increase clarity of perception, free up spontaneity and manage stage fright. Improved self-awarness allows them to get rid of poor habits and develop a wider repertoire of skills to deliver the best performance of which they are capable.
The Alexander Technique is taught at all the major music and drama colleges throughout the UK such as RADA, and The Royal Academy of Music.
Sarah Eddy
Sarah is a qualified teacher of the Alexander Technique. In order to qualify she successfully completed a three-year training course at the Brighton school for Alexander Technique by STAT, the professional association of certified Alexander Technique teachers in the UK and establishes and maintains the nation's highest standards for teacher training, certification and membership.
As an original cast member of the internationally acclaimed stage show "Stomp", she has been performing with the group for 17 years, performing all over the world on the stage, TV and films.
She trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London for Television and Film, and has since performed on numerous television shows around the world including the Academy Awards in Los Angeles, Off broadway New York, The South Bank show and The West End London.
A good many years in show business has provided her with a wide range of performance skills and styles.
Sarah's Experience
Over the years Sarah continued having lessons when she could in between touring with Stomp, and while the show is great fun, it is very physical and can be exhausting, Sarah gained an enormous amount by using the technique and soon realised she could prepare herself to be more focused and enjoy more energy.
