Perrin Technique
The Perrin Technique is a specialised manual therapy designed to help individuals with conditions such as Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) and related neurological disorders. It focuses on improving the function of the lymphatic and central nervous systems by manually stimulating specific areas of the body to encourage the drainage of toxins.
How can it help?
The Perrin Technique aims to address underlying issues in the body’s drainage system, which can contribute to symptoms such as:
- Chronic fatigue
- Brain fog
- Muscle pain
- Poor sleep
- Dizziness
- Headaches
By improving the body’s ability to clear toxins, many patients experience reduced symptoms, increased energy levels, and an overall improvement in their well-being.
Treatment duration
The length of treatment varies depending on individual circumstances. Some patients notice improvements within a few months, while others require longer-term therapy. On average, patients may undergo treatment for six months to a year, with regular assessments to track progress.
Initial consultation: what to expect
Your first consultation will involve a detailed assessment, including a discussion of your medical history, symptoms, and lifestyle factors. A physical examination will be conducted to identify areas of congestion in the body’s drainage system. From there, a personalised treatment plan will be created, outlining the recommended frequency of sessions and at-home exercises to support your recovery.
My journey into the Perrin Technique (by Lee Lewis)
"I have been practicing the Perrin Technique for three years. My journey into this field began when a colleague, who was a Perrin Technique practitioner, had a baby and moved back to Austria with his wife. This left a group of patients in need of support, and I was approached to step in. Wanting to ensure they continued receiving care, I completed the necessary training and became a practitioner myself. Since then, I have worked with many patients, helping them manage their symptoms and improve their quality of life.
